All year round of great weather, fantastic food and wonderful opportunities for shopping, the French Riviera is surely not short of ways how to seduce you. Pair some of the loveliest and most beautiful French cities with sexy sunshine and you will get the definition of the perfect holiday. The best places to visit are Nice, one of the biggest French cities, Cannes, welcoming the international film festival in May and also Monaco and Monte Carlo, home to aristocrats, billionaires and hollywood movies stars.

Nice is a good starting point to explore this wonderful side of the world. With a population of around 400 000 citizens Nice is a cosmopolitan centre with endless varieties of restaurants, shopping outlets, palm tree parks and of course one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in the world. Its fantastically blue waters are world-famous. People will find a great plethora of accommodation options - from cheap budget hotels to 5 star palaces that will satisfy every whim and desire of the guests.

Cannes is smaller town, very popular with its glamorous boulevard La Croisette - a kilometres long stretch of palm trees, fashion boutiques and amazing hotels. The end of May is the real high-season in Cannes as the world show business gathers in Cannes for the international film festival. Monaco is the mecca of the rich and famous, around 30 min away from Nice. Though it is just a tiny town, Monaco has one of the highest living standards in the world. Not particularly cheap, Monaco is a favorite place for the wealthier part of the population to relax and show off their new sports cars and red diesel, drink fancy cocktails and spend money in the casinos. No matter where you decide to stay, you will be met with the typical French hospitality and the wonderful mild weather all year round.

Some of the toughest economic times have caused a drop in the amount of people travelling abroad this year. A gloomy summer at home has meant that many people have become resentful at not being able to travel abroad. The rising living costs and wage freezes have only served to pour salt on already angry wounds. Yet hope remains. Travel companies have realised that in order to survive these times, they too must adapt accordingly.

Australia has remained a popular destination for many sun seekers for years. The golden coast of Queensland is still a sought after destination, but with most intercontinental flights clocking in at prices only the well off and rich can afford, international tourist numbers have dropped. So what to do? For a start, don’t be put off by initial results when you start looking for holidays on the internet. With winter approaching, a lot of deals to a summer in Australia are becoming available. Tour operators and insurance companies are offering prices at lower rates then they were last year.

On average you can save £200-£300 on flights to Australia when compared to 2010. A quick scan of the internet shows that there are still many competitive travel insurance policies up for grabs as companies begin their winter battle in the run up to Christmas. With customers harder to convince when parting with their money, a lot of the premiums have come down in price and offer the same protection as they did last year. Tour operators have changed their tactics too and are offering better deals for the same or a slightly lower price. Getting to Australia is still in the grand scheme of things, costly, but it has been made more bearable thanks to the additional features operators are including. Better accommodation and food, free internet and courtesy pick ups from the airports are all being added as extras to entice people to travel.

Airport taxes are the only elements that are unavoidable for holiday makers. With taxes having risen in the past year, customers have had to endure higher ticket prices. The reason given by the air companies has been the drop in profits they saw in 2010 when volcanic ash, hurricanes and other natural disasters grounded many flights. Operators realise this hasn’t cut much ice with angry and frustrated passengers. Some have been including additional holiday days, free food and more to entice people to buy.

Australia may seem a long way away both in terms of location and price, but if you are looking for some winter sun this year, it does remain a viable option. The only difference between this year and last year is in the increased number of budget deals available. All you have to do is look!

Along with its status as one of the world’s core fashion districts, Milan is also the most economically productive city in Italy. Despite lacking the extraordinary beauty of Florence or Venice, Milan still boasts a number of great jewels. The most famous site is the Duomo, which is one of the largest and best preserved Gothic cathedrals in existence. Meanwhile, the city also hosts a number of prestigious art galleries, such as the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and the Brera gallery.

The good news is that it is possible to visit Milan at any time of the year and explore the city’s key sights. However, the winter can be particularly cold when the wind blows from the northeast and thick fog descends over the valley Likewise, autumn is often characterised by high levels of rainfall and a lack of sunshine, however it can often remain warm well into October. For tourists hoping to spend most of their time outdoors, the best months to visit are May, June and September, when temperatures are warm but not oppressive. During July and August temperatures frequently exceed 32 degrees Celsius, although the summer heat is not as extreme in cities such as Florence or Rome. In August the city can become almost deserted after the locals flock to the coast for their annual holidays. However, during the weeks running up to Christmas becomes crowded with tourists and impressive illumination displays surround the Duomo. This is often the busiest time of the year, when most hotel rooms (similar to an oriental Brighton boutique hotel!) are booked well in advance.

The city of Sitges is noted for its excellent nightlife and pristine beaches. It boasts large, elegant streets, trendy hotels and historic architecture. In recent decades Sitges has attracted a large number of gay and lesbian travellers because of its wide variety of gay bars and nightclubs. The city experiences a surge in tourism during the month of August, when many families, couples and groups take their annual summer holidays.

In terms of reaching Sitges, the cheapest method of transport is taking the train from Barcelona. This costs just 3 Euros and takes just over half an hour. By car, it is free to use the C-31, however the faster C-32 involves a charge of 5 Euros. Meanwhile, the nearest international airport is El Prat de Llobregat/Barcelona, which is also accessible by a direct train service. Airlines such as Ryanair (which uses diesel from Luton and easyJet operate services to and from this airport). For regional flights, the Reus/Tarragona airport can also be reached by train via Villanova i la Geltru or Sant Vicenc de Calders.

One of the major attractions of Sitges is the annual Santa Tecla Festival, which takes place during mid to late September. Celebrated for almost 800 years, the festival is regarded as a major national event and involves grand parades and spectacular firework displays. For art lovers, the Cau Ferrat house exhibits many famous paintings, including the work of Picasso and artists of the Catalan era. During the evening, many students and couples gather at the waterfront, which hosts numerous cafes. Other people wake up early to witness the Mediterranean sunrise from the sandy beach, which is one of the highlights of this stretch of coastline.

Similar Posts:
Taiwan : Formerly referred to as ‘Ilha Formosa’,…
Traveling And Writing – Not Easy : I have been so obsessed with…
Khao San Road Adventures : One of the reasons that I adore Khao…
Find Your Perfect London Holiday Getaway : Although London is…

On the far eastern tip of the Samana’Penninsula in the Dominican Republic is a tiny little fishing village called Las Galeras. It’s a bit of a venture to get there, but once you do, you’ll be ever so glad. First, the trip:

Getting to Las Galeras will take you from city to town to village. Whatever airport you come into, you’ll probably take a bus to San Fransisco de Macoris. That’s the easy, air-conditioned part. In San Fransisco de Macoris, you downgrade (or upgrade, depending on your perspective) to a “gua gua.” Essentially, you climb into a van with twenty to thirty other sweaty people and maybe a few chickens, and when the van’s full, it’ll leave. The gua gua will eventually get you to Samana’, and from there it’s a taxi ride (or another gua gua, depending on your tastes) along the coast to Las Galeras.

So the tough thing about Las Galeras is that Las Galeras is out there. The great thing about it? That Las Galeras is out there.

In Las Galeras is a beach that will be essentially all yours. Not only that, there’s a lovely little European enclave full of a diversity of restaurants (and plenty of local culinary culture to digest as well). For very reasonable rates, you can easily head over to El Limon for the day — an impressive and beautiful waterfall with a pool at the bottom in which you can swim and escape the heat. There are horseback tours that will take you up from the village of El Limon to the actual waterfall. (One word about that: I hope they have horse insurance for those horses and, for that matter, person insurance for their guests, because you go up some incredibly steep, wet slopes during the trip.)

Notice a theme in the Las Galeras area? Getting anywhere is an adventure, and arriving is a blast.

One of the most visited states all year round in the US is the state of Florida. Florida is called the sunshine state simply because it has a subtropical climate thus it is sunny almost all year round. The one place many people want to visit when they are in the state is the beach. Here are the best beaches in Florida.

South beach

This is the R4 3DS card of beaches, that’s how great this beach is. It offers those who visit a quick view into the way Latin-Americans enjoy themselves in America. So it showcases not only beautiful people but also great food, and drinks. There are a lot of hotels near the beaches and also shops.

Pensacola beach

This beach is considered the entertainment beach of the state. There is a wide variety of entertainment offered all year round. T is a popular beach to take kids to as there are a number of events they can enjoy such as Mardi Gras and the Fiesta of Five flags parade. Adults can not only enjoy the beach but they can also go fishing and snorkeling.

Hollywood beach

Here visitors will find more of an international flavour from cuisine to art there will be something here for everyone. The beach is sandy and there are boardwalks and also a good night life.

Daytona Beach

This beach is one of the best beaches anywhere in the world and is the place many college students flock to for their spring break. Visitors can go jet skiing, scuba diving, parasailing, snorkeling, surfing, and kayaking.

This may sound like heresy but it is possible that your family may get bored of all the activities centered in and around the beach during your vacation. After all, there is only so much of sand and water that a person can handle. If your family begins to feel as if it is perpetually wet and encrusted with sand, it will automatically reject all further ideas of entertainment on the beach.

This is the reason why you should plan your beach holidays in such a manner that people don’t get bored of the water and the surf. You may be perfectly comfortable with the idea of sitting and staring at the water for many hours a stretch. You may work in an office where there is no external ventilation and may love the idea of sitting in fresh and pure air. However, to expect your ten year old child to agree with you is foolishness.

Just book a few 4×4 cars and take your family around for a drive to keep them happy. Plan a picnic where you drive for a few hours before camping and having a family lunch. Try to do things the old fashioned way by cooking your food on a wooden fire. Return to your hotel and take your family to the beach.

You will be surprised by the fact that they are very happy with your plan. Use other attractions as minor deviations and distractions and return back to the beach. You will find that your family is very happy with your plan and enjoys the vacation a lot.

What is your definition of the perfect summer vacation? You can surprise yourself when you compare your answers with those of your family members. The head of your family may be interested in booking accommodation in a hotel situated on a beachfront so that he can play chess games with hand painted chess pieces with his best friend.

The mistress of the house may be interested in a quiet and sunny spot where she can relax without any worries about losing her kids. She will avoid the hotel on the beachfront because it means that the kids will have to be kept under constant supervision throughout the holiday.

Your kids may be astounded the idea of living in a hotel when you have a huge beach in front of you. They may be interested in setting up a tent or a camp on the beach itself. Of course, this may not be permitted by the authorities but they would be more interested in living as close to nature as possible. Of course, they are not bothered about security or other such aspects when identifying their perfect sunny holiday.

Once you know what everybody wants, try to come up with a solution that makes everybody happy. An overnight stay on the beach in a tent may be a wonderful way to celebrate your vacation. Booking in a hotel that is situated close to the beach and which allows such a night out may be the best option to have a great time with your family.

It is funny how people cannot think of any activity other than swimming whenever they think of a vacation on the beach. Well, what do you plan when you visit a water amusement park? Do you intend to spend the entire day in the wave pool? Obviously not. You will check out the various slides, rides and other attractions in the amusement park. Well, what is stopping you from trying out the same on the beach?

You like the idea of spending time in the fresh and pure air on the beach front, right? Well, why don’t you try to get rid of thoughts of asbestos compensation and other work related topics from your head by going in for a para-sailing activity on the beach? A motorboat with a strong engine, a parachute and a very firm cord-this is what you need to have a great time on the beach.

The motorboat will float on the water and will pull you high up in the air. You will have the entire ocean or sea in front of you and can look down to watch your family members looking at you in awe.

Well, don’t you think that is going to be a great way of enjoying your vacation? It is advisable to check out these facilities in advance so that you are mentally and financially prepared for the same. Or, you can try to keep it simple and make your plans after you reach the beach. The choice is yours.

One of the finest times of the year is the summer vacation. This is the time when a lot of students and adults take a break from their monotonous schedules and look forward to relax and enjoy. People normally look for places with better weather, preferably nice and sunny. People also look for an avenue to change their regular uptight dressing with a bit of change in the diet as well. It is not fun to go into a city when you live in a city. Most of the cities have the same life, full with pollution, malls and traffic. Even a day wasted at the wrong place can seriously hamper the excitement and the joy of vacation. While fun is the theme of vacations, one would certainly not want to empty their wallets. At times it seems like vacationers expect a lot. The best place with the lowest price, does that happen in real life? I seriously feel it does happen provided if you have the knack to sniff out cheaper but excellent spots to spend your vacations.

Talking of excellent destination with cheaper costs one can certainly not overlook Bulgaria. The only closest thing that is nearly equal to the fun one can have in Bulgaria is road trips California. Bulgaria is known as the land of roses, full with scenic beauty and very attractive historical and cultural monuments. Bulgaria has become a major tourist spot in the last ten years, not to mention it’s very cost effective. Once you are in this place you might just wonder, may be this place just does not know how expensive the rest of the world is. While you enjoy the great weather at the black sea, you will not spend a fortune over here. And if you are travelling within Europe then even before you reach you would saved a lot by flying on budget airlines like Wizzair. So next time when you plan a vacation don’t forget to consider a budget vacation at the Black Sea.
